The Remakery Storage & Directory System
Custom plywood storage lockers and a CNC-cut directory sign designed and built for The Remakery, a South London community workshop and maker space. The colourful plywood lockers form part of a public tool library, allowing local members to borrow power tools through a numbered, easy-to-navigate system. Additional stacked lockers provide secure rental storage for members. Finished with linseed oil, the units are designed to be modular, lockable, and movable so they can adapt as the workshop evolves.
Alongside the storage system, a CNC-cut directory sign made from reclaimed timber and pallet wood helps visitors navigate the space. The use of reclaimed materials reflects the workshop’s sustainable ethos while creating a durable, characterful piece that sits naturally within the makerspace environment.
